Metrics Consultancy is committed to protecting the privacy of employees and engineers using the attendance and departure application. This policy explains how data is handled to ensure the highest levels of transparency.
11. Collection of Geographical Location Data
The application collects geographical location data (GPS) for the sole purpose of ensuring the user is within the pre-defined project boundaries via KMZ files. This location is monitored to accurately document the footprint of attendance and departure.
22. Access to Location in the Background
The application requests background location access to ensure continuous recording of the presence footprint even if the screen is closed or other applications are used while at the engineering site, to ensure that attendance records are not lost.
33. Data Protection and Storage
All data transferred between the application and Metrics Consultancy servers is encrypted.
Location data is not shared with any third party or used for advertising purposes.
Attendance records are kept for the purpose of preparing work reports and salaries only.
44. User Rights
The user has the right to stop sharing the location at any time from the phone settings, but this may affect the ability to record attendance and prove the impact of field work automatically.
